Explorer "stuck" in refresh loop

On one of my workstations it seems that the explorer is "stuck" in a refresh
loop. We see this sometimes when browsing to a mapped networkdrive with the
Explorer, but always when using the Search Assistant. It looks like something
presses the Refresh-button after the search is completed.
We are using Win XP pro SP2 workstations (Dutch) on a SBS 2003 SP1 server
(English), all systems are up-to-date using the latest (public) patches.

I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Sorry for the delay in my answer, due to various reasons I have not been able
to test your suggestion earlier. I have tried the solutions in the
KB-article, but unfortunately none of them work.

Does anyone have any other suggestions ???

I would greatly appreciate any help ...

For now, it looks like the problem is solved by a regfix with these lines:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
"NoNetCrawling"=dword:00000001
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
"Max Cached Icons"="12000"

Good look to other people with the same problem and thanx to Malke and WTC
for trying to help ... Best regards, Raymond Lardenoije
