Explorer running slow 30 second hesitation

My Internet Explorer has recently started hesitating for
about 30 seconds every time I use it. I am currently
running Windows XP and I have a DSL line. My Internet
Explorer version is 6 and I have the following upgrades
SP1, Q828750, Q330994, Q824145, and Q832894.

The list below represents everything I have tried to try
to remedy this situation:

Removed any unused or old software
Run SpyBot to remove spying and advertising software
Run Norton Antivirus
System Tools - Disk Clean Up
System Tools - Analyze and Defragment C drive
(the analyze report stated that I had 43% free space)
In the Internet Explorer Tools section "Reset Web Setting"

Even after trying everything I can think of my Internet
Explorer is still hesitating, could someone please help
me with this problem? I am desperate for any and all
help!!

Thank you in advance,
Lee Brown

.Same problems here and i've had no luck fixing it even
with Microsoft's update; I'm not about to pay 35 bucks to
speak to someone about it! The only thing that works for
me is typing in the url into the Google toolbar that i
have--it directs me to the page immediately with no
hesitation

Lee,
A few more things to try:
Delete the History folder and Temporary Internet Files folder
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Download, *update* and run Ad-aware 6
http://www.lavasoft.de/software/adaware/

Try Spy Sweeper: http://www.spysweeper.com/ This program found a few things
on my system that Spybot and Ad-aware had missed.

If all of those programs fail, use HijackThis
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html
or http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip
to post a log to the appropriate forum at one of these sites:
