When I open Explorer with Wanadoo home page, all is OK, when I open Explorer
with BT Yahoo Broadband, the home page hangs whilst loading. When I go to
BTYahoo via Explorer and Wanadoo, the BTYahoo page hangs again. 'Have
contacted BTyahoo who struggling for an answer. 'Would be grateful for any
suggestions please.

What happens when you change the home page to http://my.yahoo.com/?

Yahoo! generally wants to set a ton of cookies, and run JavaScript; or
ActiveX if you are using MS Internet Explorer. Maybe as true for:
(or: http://bt.yahoo.com/)

as it is for:
(or: http://rogers.yahoo.com/)

and:
(or: http://sbc.yahoo.com/)

Thnks for your reply, the screen does not load completely and the hour glass
appears. The only action I am allowed to take is to close the page and then
the "not responding" error message appears. As I have said, if I open IE via
Wanadoo all is OK and I am able to browse normally. If I navigate to
BTBroadband then the page stops responding again.

Thanks

Hi, thanks for your reply, I tried what you suggest but the page freezes when
it is loading which is the same as if I start with the Broadband icon. All I
can do is attempt to close it and then I get the message which sayes that the
browser is not responding...very frustrating !!

When I open Explorer with Wanadoo home page, all is OK,
My guess is that the content is different as a result of the
different connections; so saying it works on one provider but not
another may not be significant. However you could try to ensure
that you were comparing more similar content by changing some
settings temporarily as diagnostics.

What happens if you disable all active content?
E.g. the simplest way to do that would be to change security settings
for that zone to High. (Doubleclick on the zone icon in the status bar
then press Alt-L and CursorUp.)

To get an even fairer comparison it may be necessary to temporarily
disable Show Pictures (Options, Advanced tab, Multimedia section).
