When I search in Google it has become very slow. It freezes for a while
before I can hit search, with a cursor line appearing after my typing, then
the blue title bar reads "Microsoft Internet Explorer (not responding)",
When the "not responding" bit disappears the search works. I am using Win
XP.
Other search engines seem to give the same problem

Same thing happening to me. And I've read someone else complaining on the
W98 dc. I have no idea what the cause might be.

Welcome to the club. I have searched and searched for
this answer. It takes a long time in search engines to
attempt this so I gave up and came here. As I can
see...many many people are having the same problem. I
guess we are going to have to wait it out for the next
update and hope it fixes it.. :(

Regards,
Rich
