I'm running a Dell Dimension 4600C with XP SP2. Windows explorer has suddenly
started to close when I browse for photos in My Documents. The problem began
when I was trying to put a photo into a Publisher doc - Publisher would crash
and restart. Then, I tried browsing through My Docs and Explorer started
crashing/restarting on the same folder. It happens as soon as I get to the
folder I want.
In the error report "contents", here's what I get:
AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.3156 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 0002ae22
This happened to me once before -- same scenario, using images in a
Publisher doc -- and I don't remember the fix. What causes this to start? How
can I prevent it? I run a pretty tight ship with regard to anti-virus,
malware, etc.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Kara
