Explorer.exe and svchost.exe crash

I am having some problems with a couple of computers were explorer.exe and
svchost.exe crashes. When looking at the event log it says that Explorer.exe
or svchost.exe had to stop due to an error "connected" to different modules,
dll-files. For example msfd32.dll, mssk32.dll, msif32.dll, msmo32.dll.
I can't find what these dll-files are for. Are they a part of Windows XP or
have some virus attacked the computers? The problem started in the end of
January(2006) and our Antivirus on these machines could'nt update the virus
signature file after the 29th of January. Is it a coinsident?

Running Windows XP (Service Pack 2, latest updates from Microsoft)
Panda Antivirus
Hoping that someone else have encountered this problem

Those aren't valid XP files. Did you google for them? They're
associated with malware.

Thank you for the reply. Ok, that's what I suspected. I have updated the
virus signature file and run Adaware. Can you recommend any other
spyware/malware removal tool? There are tons of differnet programs on the
Internet.
