Explorer crash

Roger

I don't know if this is the appropriate group, so please
bear with me.

I'm running W2k/SP4 with all the latest patches and
EnableBigLBA option in the registry. After adding a new
drive, which requires the latter option, most of the times
after I right-click on any drive icon, choose properties
and then close the tab either with OK or Cancel, Explorer
crashes taking away couple of open windows, some of which
(Outlook, e.g) automatically restart. Any ideas?

Thx.

If your BIOS does not support 48 bit LBA and you somehow have managed to
enable it in Windows 2000 AND partition beyond the 137 GB limit, it most
definitely IS a BIG ISSUE.
whether or not your immediate issue is related, as soon as the system
attempts to use the area outside 137 GB you will experience data corruption.
