Explorer crash with sound-files

I have XP-Pro/SP1;, hard disk is compressed; all
updates/patches have been applied. Default media-player
for MP3's is WinAMP/5.04...

Every time I right-click on an .MP3 or .WAV file,
Explorer crashes, sends an error-report, and all of my
taskbar icons are gone... I've tried going through "Tools
| Folder-Options | FileTypes and changing the default
association to "Windows Media Player", but it still
crashes Explorer...

Anyone else having a problem with sound files? (picture
files, .jpg's, .GIF's, etc., work fine...This is
specifically with sound-files...)

No... I've always had my harddrives compressed, and it's
never made any difference....Until I went from Win/2000
to XP...

Hi

Did you have the same problem on an un-compressed hard disk?
