Gurus,
Running Windows XP Pro SP3. What I've noticed with my Windows Explorer
recently (and maybe started happening in the last six months or so?) is that
whenever I browse the directory structure, instead of seeing on the upper
toolbar the old standard columns of Name, Size, Type, and Date Modified
above the list of folders and files within each Explorer window, I see
instead columns related to what would be useful if I had multi-media files
in that current directory (most of my directories do NOT have multi-media
files), and that is: Name, Size, Type, Artist, Album Title, Year, Track
Number, and Duration. I see these Artist, Album Title, Year.... columns now
in EVERY Explorer window view. How do I get rid of this annoying behavior?
I can manually "uncheck" those columns within the current view but they come
right back if I close and the re-open Explorer.
