Explorer can not access secure sites

I recently changed from dial-up service to DSL. Now when I try to access a "secure" page I get a window stating "The page cannot be displayed." However, when I use the dail-up service (earthlink.net) I can still access these pages. Also I can not access windows update via DSL and get an error message 0X800C0005. Finnally, I down loaded Netscape and do not have any problems accessing secure sites. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition on a Sony with an Intel 1.6g Pentium and 512M of RAM. Any help with this probelm would be greatly appreciated

Are you using a router when using the DSL connection? There is a hardware
firewall with the router. Set the firewall to allowed secured sites, or you
may have to allowed the secure sites one at a time.
