Hi,everytime I run Defender it returns showing "Exploit Win32/Wmfap"(as it
appears,without the "").
I delete but it returns,is it harmful,to what does it relate(Ebay toolbar??)
and how can I remove and stop re-infection.
XP,NIS 2006,Adaware,Defender.IE,thanx...

Hello puzzled,

What happen when you reboot into Safe Mode to then eradicate the pest?

Have you scanned your system in Safe Mode for malware (spyware, adware,
trojans, and other pests) using other tools, like Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D,
a-Squared, ewido, Spyware Doctor, Pest Patrol (online)?

If you are running SP2, open IE--->Tools--->Manage Add-ons, and uncheck any
BHO's that you don't recºgnize.

Running adaware,ms defender.
Will do the safe mode reboot and let you mknow;where does it originate ?Any
ideas...

Cheers Engel,I should have remembered from last time;if Norton holds such
items in quarrantine then defender picks them up as valid threats still.
Deleted from quarrantine and now all clear thanx anyway..
