Explode Slices in Pie Chart

Hi Tracy

I don't believe that can be done simply, but you could fake it using a copy
of the chart and using no fill/no lines for all but one of the slices in one
chart and no fill/no line for that slice in the other chart, then lining
them up. How good it will look will depend I think on the difference in the
size of the slices as they will appear to be to one side if one of the
slices is much bigger than the other.

Lining up isn't too easy in 2007 as nudging doesn't work and you can't see
both objects while dragging, in which case cut -> paste special -> png might
be a better option for the single slice chart.

Another idea is to have 2 charts and make one of them have a wedge that is
actually both bits of data added together then explode that point. Then put
the other chart on top, explode the needed point and make the rest of the
slices no fill/no line.

Have a bit of a play about and see what works.

Anyway, if you need more help or want to talk through some ideas be sure to
let us know what version of PowerPoint you are using and if you are using
Excel or MSGraph to create the chart.
