Why did you start a new thread?

Did you try to get support from Game Website?

If you going to throw way a new computer for some game, I'll take it!!!!

Based on you other post, sounds like there is a problem with the .EXE file
as other folks point out. Is is possible to run the patch on another
PC/laptop and see if it begins to load or reports the same error? If it
reports the same error its likely corrupt. If not, then it's something on
your system preventing it from running. Try stopping all non-essential
applicaitons running in memory (antivirus, firewall, games, etc) and
re-running the .EXE. Also, you may want to just rename the file something
short and simple, like 'game.exe' - and try the install.

Cheers

i thought the first thread did not post, but got great response. thanks. just
spoke to computer technician he said the patch will not be compatable with my
version of windows xp, and there is nothing i can do until they release a
compatable version. Does this sound right to you?

When you installed the game, did you take the built-in default
installation path the game installer provided ? Also, when you
downloaded the updates where did you store that ? It sounds
like a corrupted download. I noticed the patch is 91 Megabytes
do you use any kind of Download Accelerator program ?, If
so I would disable it, download again - but not in the game disk
path, instead create a dedicated downloads folder on the root
of the C:\Drive. Once downloaded, invoke the installer from
there (C:\Downloads).
