We are using ME 2K SB Server (SP3)and our Exchange server
will Unexepectedly turn off & back on again. I HAD
ORGINALLY GONE IN & TURNED THE SERVICES BACK ON. BUT THEY
SEEM TO BE RANDOMLY TURNING OFF AND ON AGAIN!

The errors reflected in the event log are as such;

EVENT ID 36871: A fatal error occurred while creating an
SSL server credential.

event id 7031 The IIS Admin Service service terminated
unexpectedly. It has done this 6 time(s). The following
corrective action will be taken in 1 milliseconds: Run the
configured recovery program.

EVENT ID 7031; The Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service
terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 157 time(s).
The following corrective action will be taken in 0
milliseconds: No action.

EVENT ID 7031 The Network News Transport Protocol (NNTP)
service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 157 time
(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0
milliseconds: No action.

MOST OF THE ME SERVICES ARE LISTED AS UNEXPECTEDLY
TERMINSTAING!

CAN YOU OFFER ANY SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT MIGHT BE CAUSING
THIS AND A REMEDY?

THANK YOU JIM B

I'd post in microsoft.public.exchange.admin and an SBS group (crosspost,
don't multipost). Also report whatever you see in your system event log. Is
your server plugged into a UPS with a management cable? If not, you might be
having power problems. The shutdown of the *entire* server (if that's what
you mean) indicates a hardware or Windows problem, not necessarily an
Exchange one - hence report whatever you see in the system event logs.

Don't worry about the SSL message....it isn't relevant.
