Exchange 2007 IMAP and POP3 Problems

Tony Sommers

I have Exchange 2007 with SP1 installed and the latest rollup. I am getting
the following error when trying to connect to the server using OE and IMAP or
POP3.

The server responded with an error. Account: 'servername', Server:
'servername', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '220 mail.servername.com
Microsoft ESMTP MAIL Service ready at Mon, 10 Dec 2007 17:07:56 -0600', Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90

I already verified it is not an issue with the firewall as I get the same
exact error from inside the network.

Any thoughts?

Tony

Well, I'd probably be asking in the microsoft.public.exchange.clients
newsgroup. Or maybe microsoft.public.exchange.admin. Even
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general might be useful, since OE doesn't
have anything to do with Outlook.
