Exchange 2003 Standard to SBS2003

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has heard of any problems doing an inplace upgrade
of a server with Windows 2003 Server Stanard/ Exchange 2003 SP2 standard and
running the SBS 2003 R2 Cd's to transform the server to a SBS box. Just
hoping it's not going to complain and state the existing versions are more up
to date and cannot continue type errors. Perhaps there is other gotcha's? The
previous IT company set this client up with full product and they only have 8
staff. Any feed back is appriciated.

Regards,

Brett

Your best bet is to ask in an SBS newsgroup - this one has the experts for
outlook.

I think you might run into problems with the exchange store, assuming SBS
will even in-place upgrade (never tried). It's going to need to be the DC
and the domain name cannot change or you lose the exchange store. Make sure
you exmerge all the mailboxes before doing anything.
