Suddenly Execel will not load but hour-glass cursor hangs until I heit
Ctrl-Alt-Delete and then error box pops up with "The system is dangerously
low in resources!... Do you want to terminate .... M.S. Excell (not
responding)" and the system locks up.
I've cleaned system, removed XP and reloaded, updated XP and ME, scandisked,
defraged, etc. and no change. Everything (Word, Access...) works except
Excel. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Use Windows Explorer to search for all files on your hard drive with a
..XLB extension. Delete any that you find. Note that these may be hidden
files, so you'll need to set Explorer to show hidden files before searching.

Excel uses these files to store information about toolbar
customizations, but they frequently become corrupt and cause problems like
this. Excel will create new versions of the .XLB files it needs as soon as
it starts up. Note that you will lose any toolbar customizations that you
might have made.
