Excel total

How do I enter a number in the same cell, like C1, each
day and have a running total of those numbers in another
cell? My example: A football team member has so many
rushing yards in one game. The next game I want to
change the number from the last game, but have the old
number add to the new number in another cell.

Hi Guys:
I would like to add to Sherrie's request.
How would this same function be recorded in a group of cells?
I.E. value put in a1: recorded in cells b1:b31 ?
The values recorded in cells, b1:b31 would be a record of the values entered
in a1.
