Excel to PPT - Excel in New Window - Pasting fails

Hi,

Just wanted to know whether its something wrong from my side or a known
issue.

I have a Excel workbook with 2 windows of it open by using New window
feature.

I copy some data from excel and go to powerpoint and then do a paste special
with Microsoft excel object ... i get the error -- The server application,
source file or item cannot be found or returned an unknown error. You may
need to reinstall the source application.--

On the other hand If I copy data from an excel workbook with only one window
then am able to paste in to PPT as a OLE without any problem.

Whats the reason?

You might want to ask the Excel newsgroup folks about this one, but I'm able to
reproduce it here. Close either window and it works.

Walks like a bug, Talks like a bug. I'd say you FOUND a bug.
