excel should have a floating "custom view" toolbar where you can click and
change views instead of having to go to the menu bar on the top.

XL *already* has one !
If all the features of XL were defaulted onto the toolbar, there wouldn't be
any room for the grid.
So, you pick and choose what you want/need.
It's just a matter of dragging it to your toolbar.

Right click in the toolbar and choose <Customize> <Commands> tab.
Click on "View" in the left window,
And what do you see in the right window?<g>
The "Custom View" box.

Just click, and drag it to your toolbar.
