Excel Excel, Searching and copying info from another worksheet?

Hi,
Sorry for a question as my first post, but I am really stuck here!

I have a value in sheet 2 and I need excel to search for that value in a row in sheet 1, then paste the corresponding info from another row in sheet 1?

Can anyone help me here, my formula knowledge is obviously not quite good enough!

Hi Mat, welcome to the forums

I'm not an expert with advanced Excel functions, but I think you'll need to use one of the lookup functions:

Perhaps VLookup or HLookup, depending on how you want to work it . There are some examples on that page which should get your started.
