EXCEL process doesn't close

Hi everyone,

I have a very strange problem.

If I open a .NET application from EXCEL using SHELL function, when I close
EXCEL, the EXCEL.EXE process remain active and I must close it by Task
manager.

If I open a normal application (I.E. Notepad.exe) in the same manner, I have
no problem.

Can somebody answer this question ?

You can try to run Excel using the automation libraries provided by MSFT. You
run Excel using the ApplicationClass. To close the application you can use
the Quit method

Hi Alex,

The problem is not run EXCEL from a .NET application, but run a .NET
application from EXCEL.

If I run a .NET application from EXCEL and then I close it, if I close
EXCEL, EXCEL UI quit, but EXCEL.EXE remain active, and I must close it by
Task manager!

It's very strange behaviour...
