Excel newbie reference

Mustafa Sapmaz

Could anyone guide me to a detailed database/website which
explains the logic behind excel formulas and some critical
characteristics of Excel... It could be a .pdf of e-
book... anything ... may be 1000 pages....but I am ready
to dive in...

I deliberately need a guidance which tells Excel from A to
Z. I hope I am not Pollyanna.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Mustafa

Hi Mustafa ,
I expect you should be buying a book, but you there is no reason
to buy an entry level book if you can first pick up the basics online and
then purchase a better book that matches your needs and that
you can use as reference.

Suggest you look at some of the online Tutorials, many designed
for a general population of university students.

As "Lady Layla" indicated you could use Google for most any
question you have. I would suggest using the
Advanced Search to search web pages:
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?lr=lang_en
and the Advanced Groups Search to search Excel newsgroups with
http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search?q=group:*Excel*&num=100
