Excel Excel: linking a drop-down menu to a macro button

Hello,

I would like to link a drop-down menu (data validation) to a macro button. Ideally I would be able to select an option from the drop-down-menu and then press the macro button which would start the process. However, I can't make this link. If you can think of a possible sollution, that would be great, thanks for the effort,

Or maybe I can solve the problem differently by basically telling the macro that it should make its criteria (criteria1) dependent on the input of a specific cell. Is there anybody who knows how to do this?
