OK, my problem is that I need for Excel to return in a string of say 14 characters the 7th one. These 14 charaters are all inside a cell. It is comprise of # and letters... Oh can I go about it...

I've seen the fonction "CharWithinCell" but cannot figure it out... and it as no definition in my French Excel help,

OK I figured out a way... its not the most elegant but it work....

First I used the fonction LEFT to tell Excell to forget about the 7 last characters... And then I used the RIGHT fonction to tell Excel to retain only the 1st character... so I isolated the 7th character like I wanted...

Sure would like to know if their is a simpler way.

Regards,
