What would be the use of a password if there was a backdoor?

You could google for a password cracker which will just keep trying
passwords from a dictionary or random letters till it succeeds. One of
the first hits I came across on google was http://www.decryptum.com/ .
They seem to offer a preview option before you buy something, so you
could test if it works for you. I personally never used it, so I can't
vouch for it. Otherwise, there is freeware out there, but it will
probably be a lot slower.

You have posted an Excel question in a Word newsgroup. You'll probably have
better luck posting in an Excel newsgroup.

The document is encrypted. The only way to break that encryption is with the
password. Any password can be discovered in time, but if the password is
more than a three or four characters long and those are random characters
then that time can be seriously long. Also you have the issue of giving your
credit card details to someone who creates software to crack passwords!
