Excel gridlines not printing

I've checked the box on Print Setup/Sheet. The gridlines show in Print
Preview. The gridlines print when I email it to another user. But they
won't print for me. I'm running XP professional.

Hi

have you got the lastest drivers for your printer - these can (generally) be
obtained from the web site of the printer manufacturer.

Cheers

I believe my printer drivers are up to date. Still can't get Excel to print
the gridlines.
All boxes for gridlines are checked. What is wrong?

"I just discovered in "sheet options" under "gridlines and headings" that I
needed to UNCHECK the "draft quality" box in order to get gridlines to print
and to show up on print preview - even though I had checked the "gridlines"
box.

Hello,

I certainly hope you got the answer to your question. For some of the
remaining ones, I discovered the following.

When I am using the Page Layout tab on the Excel 2007 spreadsheet, I click
on the print (as well as the view) gridlines boxes but this has no effect on
either viewing the gridlines or printing them. I saw that I was not using the
draft quality option and my driver is up to date.

I discovered by accident that when starting from the "Print" from the icon
in the uppler left hand corner, AND then going through the Print Preview
option, then the "Page Setup" tab and then the "Sheet" tab then checking the
gridlines box, and being sure the draft quality box was NOT checked, I could
both view and print the gridlines.

Apparently the first path, going directly to the Page Layout Tab is a dead
route to viewing and/or printing the gridlines.

Is there a good way to report this to MS in case they choose to fix this
problem which I hope they can do.

I had seen that I could print with gridlines spreadsheets that had been
created with a previous version office which was encouraging to find the
answer.
