Excel Formula query

I need to be able to identify the various values (from a
list of potential values) that could add up to a known
answer. E.g. If I knew the answer was 424 and I had a
list of values such as 201, 33, 48, 76, 987, 102,331,13,
87,60,34,333,. The formula would id that 201 + 60 + 48 +
102 + 13 could be an answer. The formual only needs to
add up (no divisions, minuses etc)but it would not know
how many of the factors might add up to the answer.

This is a real need as my small business has paid in a
number of cheques simultaneously at the bank, on several
occassions, but lost the records of the individual
payees. I am hoping I can use this formula to compare
the invoices and thus identify the payees!

I think you might have some other issues. I created a
spreadsheet that randomly added up your figures and came
up with a number of different checks that provided the
same total.

33,331,60=424
201,76,87,60=424
201,102,87,34=424
33,331,60=424
as well as
201,48,102,60,13=424
