Excel.exe errors

I am running a W2K machine with Office 2K. Whenever I try
to open an excel attachment in Outlook, I receive a
program error "excel.exe has performed an error and will
be closed by windows." Any insight would be greatly
appreciated.

Does the Excel file have macros or vba code in it? If it does it could be
that some of that code is making excel crash when it opens the file. Try
disabling all macros on that file.
