Excel Error

[Uncollable Highlighting]

When I open an Excel file, there is uncontrollable highlighting of cells. I
cannot use the spreadsheet. It just highlights every cell my cursor passes.
This is Office 2003.

Hi,

The same thing is happening to me and it all started when I tried to
download excel spreadsheets off the web, but now it seems i cannot manipulate
any of my excel docs. I have literally tried everything.

Did you happen to find a solution yet?

i had this problem
what had happened to was i had inadvertanly pressed a combination of keys on
the keyboard and i could only select the shift and key symbols no matter what
and the mouse would select any and all cells it passed over

now unfortunatly i got so frustrated with this that i ran my hands over the
keyboard in a fit of rage and when i finished it was all back to normal ...i
donk know what keys i pressed to cause it and im sorry i dont know what keys
i pressed to put it right maybe this has helped maybe not one thing i did
not try was change the keyboard
