Hi Kevin B,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I have a more particular problem than getting
headder cells to repeat across pages, my problem is with cell within the main
body of the printed area:
I have the following cells (amonghts others) in my header line, which your
method enables them to be printed as the header line on each page:
A - Potential Failure Mode
B - Potential Effect(s) of Failure
C - Severity (S)
D - Potential Cause(s)/ Mechanism(s) of Failure
My specific problem is that my first line entry for 'Failure Mode' is:
'Part not tested correctly'
For which there are four contributers under the 'Potential Causes' column:
1 - Operator does not follow the released procedure
2 - Released procedure is out-of-date
3 - Operation not described fully / documented by a controlled procedure, and
4 - Control switches not functioning as intended
For formatting reasons I want to merge the failure-mode ('Part not tested
correctly') across the four rows in which I have potential-causes entered.
If my list of causes continues to increase (and because the column for
potential-causes is a finite width) I get to a point where 'Part not tested
correctly' becomes merged across two pages, but its text only apear in one
page (or is part-split across the pages).
My 'wish' is to be able to have this text apear on both pages: You will
appreciate that my document is large and that similar problems occur with
other / diffferent failure-mode entries have similar merging problems across
other pages....
.... has anyone else had / solved this problem? My document is a process FMEA
which is widely used, and I'm guessing I'm not the first to encounter this
type of issue?
All help / comments welcome !!!
Thanks, Brian Bryce.
