Excel can't read Access table

I'm using Excel/Access 2003 and I can't get Excel to read an Access
table using Get External Data. I've done it many times before but I
can't read this particular Access MDB.

I have user group security enabled on the MDB but i setup my ODBC
connection with user ID and password. I am able to get to the "Query
Wizard - Choose Columns" screen and I can see the table but I can't
read the column or data. Any suggestions? Thanks.

For the heck of it, clone your access table in a new MDB file with no
security and see if Excel could read that table. If it can, then the
problem would seem to be caused by Access security. If not, some idea
of the data types for each field would be helpful.

i have tried that already and it works fine. it's a table consisting
of first name, last name, title, start date, end date and hourly rate.
is there another way of giving full read access to Excel other than the
ODBC link setup? i've search and searched and came up with nothing.

found the problem. when i copied and pasted the content from mdb to
mdb it imported fine but when i emported the table as a whole it
exhibited the same problem on a new mdb.

i checked the security and it turns out for Admin read/write was not
enabled for the table. loud sigh of relief.
