Excel: 'always choose same cell' symbol for use in formulae

cannot find the symbol that you place after a selected cell in a formulae so
that when you write the formulae and then drag so the formulae is set for a
number of cells, one cell with this special symbol is always the same i.e.
constant

Enter the cell address, then press <F4> to make it constant. If you press
<F4> again, the column is constant, and if yiou press this again, the row
number is constant. Else, type the address eg $A$1, $A1 or A$1
