Excel 2007 - import/export XML (Developer tab)

Hello:

I exported an xml file from an application called Wall Street Office @ work
(microsoft sql-based).

I have just installed Microsoft Excel 2007 where I can select from the
Ribbon/toolbar, the Developer tab & import the XML file, which I did
successfully.

Then, I was testing the export functionality & have not made any updates.
When I click on export on the Developer tab, it gives me this message: "XML
maps in my workbook are not exportable."

I click on Help & all that information is foreign language to decipher what
i need to do next.

Furthermore: When i select Source/ "Verify Map for Export": it states the
following message:
[["Denormalized data. A mapped element's relationship with other elements
cannot be preserved"]]. This is disappointing because I assume if you can
import than you can export the XML easily. Can you please advise on
troubleshooting this as I have no idea. This is for a work project & your
assistance is greatly appreciated!

Microsoft Help defines denormalized data: Denormalized data: an XML table
contains an element that has been defined in the schema to occur once (the
maxoccurs attribute is set to 1). When you add such an element to an XML
table, Excel fills the table column with multiple instances of the element.
