Excel 2003> how to export to DBF with a field of fraction?

Guest

Dear Sir,

In Excel 2003 I have many fields such as debet, kredit
debet is 999,999,999.99 (fraction of 2 decimal points)

The question is how can I make sure the exported fields are including the
decimal value?? (When I export to DBF the value of decimals are lost)

thanks in so much!

Hi Johan,

If your fields are General fields then the values that you see in the cell
will export. (99.99 will export as 100), but if you set your fields as
Numeric with 2 decimal places then you will get the number as shown in the
value bar at the top (99.99 will export as 99.99). Also, be sure do
double-click the columns to auto-size them to the widest value, otherwise
Excel may set the field width to the first value it sees, and not export
larger values correctly.
