Excel 2003- Expand & Collapse Groups recalc/performace
problem:
I have some complex Excel Files that contain several
worksheets, references, formulas, and charts. In
addition, these worksheets have many rows, so I make use
of the data> Groups formatting so that we can easily
expand and collapse columns and rows. The the Excel file
rows Expand/Collapse is very fast in Excel 2002/Office
XP, however, I am experiencing extremely slow
performance, (several minutes)and many recalculations
when I open the same file in Office 2003/Excel 2003.
Any suggestions on what might be causing this problem in
Excel 2003? How I can change my worksheet (any retain
the basic formatting and data content) to resolve this
problem? Are there any Excel 2003 patches that I can
apply to my environment that will resolve this problem?
Thanks,
Mike Harvey
