Excel 2003 errors

when opening MS Excel 2003 spreadsheets it shows the data in the background
whilst asking to enable macros and then the data in the spreadsheet turns to
# in all the fields.

can any body help!

No matter i click on update or dont update to answer the question,it turns to
#.It is a workgroup and it was fine when i was using 2000 but after 2003
upgrade,I face this isse.

In your first post you mentioned a question about enabling macros. Now you
are talking about updating or not? Do you, or don't you enable macros?

This the exact message what i get in the excel...

This workgroup contains links to other data sorces
If you update the links,excel will attempt to retrieve the latest date.
If you dont update the links,Excel will use the previous information.

Note that data links can be used to access and share confidential
information without your permission and possibly perform harmful actions.do
not update the links if you do not trust

Who did the upgrade to 2003? How was the upgrade done, by reformatting your
drive, or just by loading the Office 2003 program?

You must be on a network, seeing you are talking about a workgroup. Was
your network administrator involved in doing the upgrade? If not, I suggest
you get him/her involved.
