Excel 2002

I have a shared Excel file on a network server that returns the message " The
file is locked for editing by "user". The user no longer works for use and
the account has been disabled. How can I unlock the file?

The file is on a W2K server.

Thanks

The file is on a W2K server.

Make sure the file isn't open on any workstation. Log in to the
win2K server as an admin and type Net File at the command prompt.
That will tell you who really has access to it.

I've seen Excel 2000 files do this before, but usually, within 30
minutes, the problem resolves itself. It seems to happen when
someone is connected and doesn't close the file properly.
