Example db to dl with tabs like this?

I stumbled upon these screenshots while doing something else but I've
been looking for a downloadable example that has these types of tabs,
as shown in the middle of this interface:
http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/Atheme/i1s.gif

I much prefer the look of the tabs on this example:
http://www.members.shaw.ca/AlbertKallal/Atheme/i1c.gif, that sort of
Mac OS look, but imagine that's it's the OS that is responsible.
Since I have Win98SE, I get the look of the above interface overall
rather than the neater one below.

But still, does anyone know of an example that has these types of
tabs? I'd like to study the interface graphics-wise and to see how
the coding has been done for it.

Thanks. :blush:D

The example at the second URL you posted is Access 2003 (or 2002? see
footnote below)running under Windows XP, with the "Use Windows Themed
Controls on Forms" option checked (Tools, Options, Forms/Reports). The
example at the first URL is either an earlier version of Access, an earlier
version of Windows, or the option is unchecked.

Footnote: I can't remember for sure whether the "Use Windows Themed Controls
on Forms" option existed in Access 2002 - I think it did, but I don't have a
copy of Access 2002 available to check.

Oh. Thanks for info.

Are tabs like this available in A2K (running on Win98SE at home and
W2K at office)?

No - the rounded tabs are a feature of Windows XP, they are not available in
any earlier version of Windows. Under Windows XP, as I said I'm not certain
whether support for these 'themed' controls was available in Access 2002,
but it definitely was not available in Access 2000 (which pre-dated Windows
XP).

Bear in mind that you can simulate the functionality of tabs via an
array of command buttons or similar objects, each of which could
activate one of several Forms and hide the other Forms in the set. It's
even possible (I'm not sure) that you could paint your tab objects with
colors including the transparent color for your system, so that you
could give them rounded corners. If you use objects other than command
buttons, you could set their "On Click" property to perform whatever
action you need done.
