Everest & Dell

C

C.B.

All four of my computers are Dell, two desktops and two laptops. I have
used Belarc Advisor and SIW on these systems. I am interested in purchasing
Everest software, in part because I can use it with a gadget for system
information. However, upon researching Everest I find this comment on the
Everest website: A#13: Dell computers use a proprietary sensor chip that is
undocumented and so cannot be supported by EVEREST. I assume this means I am
completely out of luck when it comes to finding any software that will give
me temperatures, voltage, rpm, etc, etc related to my system.

Thank you in advance for any information. Have a nice day.

Download the trial and see before you pay for it. On my XPS 600 it
only shows GPU temps, nothing about CPU or fans.

I'm using everest right now on a dell m2010 with vista ultimate. Works great
as a gadget.

Thanks but I have absolutely no intention to download anything.

I pretty much trust three names: MS, Adobe and SB S&D. Those have never
failed me in a sense that they may make mistakes but they never play dirty
games.

You're the most paranoid individual I've come across in Usenet in some time.
Does your mommy hold your hand when you cross the street?

Cheers.

Quit calling your buddy AlexB a "Dork". OK, I take that back. He is a dork,
amongst a whole lot of other things. :)

Nope. She passed away a long time ago. Probably when you were still in
diapers.

Cheers.

I apologies for your mother.
That wasn't nice of me.

But ... on the funny side ... do you want the 20 bucks I owe her ?

OK, that was funny. :) Sure, send it over to my PayPal account.

Cheers.
