Ever since SP1 I cannot play online games without LAG!

I play counterstrike and ever since the SP1 patch my game
lags frequently. it starts afer a few minute of play and
it lasts about 20 to 30 seconds. Can someone help me?

What are the specs for your machine?
Are all your drivers up to date?
I have installed SP1 on my machine and don't notice any lag while
playing CS, I do notice a lag when starting the machine where after
the windows welcome screen and before the sign in screen I get about
a minute and a half of blank screen. Previous to installing SP1 I had about
10 seconds of black screen or less.
Specs - HP Pavilion 7935 with 1.3 Athalon processor, 640 meg ram,
2 hard drives 40 and an 80. Geoforce 2 card, audigy 2 sound card.
All drivers are up to date as of last month.
Any ideas on what could be causing this problem?
