Event viewer stopped logging

Jeff

Hi,

Event viewer is no longer displaying any messages. I have
gone to properties and reset default logging
charactersitics (had never changed them).

There is enough space on the drive.

When the computer reboots a warning is displayed. "Event
viewer is full...", however there is nothing in the event
viewer when I check it.

Has event viewer been turned off and if so how would that
be done? Secondly, what else might be causing this to
happen?

Thanks,

Possible the *.evt files are corrupt. Control Panel|Administrative
Tools|Services|Event Log Service|General, set the "Startup Type:" to
"Disabled" restart the pc, then delete (or move) the corrupt *.evt files
from %windir%\system32\config then set the Event Log Service "Startup Type:"
back to "Automatic", restart for effect.
