Event Viewer Error

I keep getting this error when I boot up.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7026
Date: 3/12/2007
Time: 6:48:37 PM
User: N/A
Computer: FOGBUSTER
Description:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:
vobcom
vobiw

I am pretty sure these drivers are for the Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD program.
I had this program installed when I received my system three years ago and
removed it.
I recently ran a registry cleaner program and was surprised to find about 40
invalid entries relating to this program.
I removed these drivers from the Windows, system32, drivers section.
I was getting this error even before I removed them.
I know Pinnacle is notorious for infiltrating Windows and not removing
itself well on uninstall.
From reading other posts I also know these drivers conflict with the
installation of SP2.
I have had difficulty installing SP2 on this machine but that is for a
different post.

My question is, why are these drivers still being called?

I found entries still in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and
HKEY_CURRENT_USER, SOFTWARE, under the heading, VOB, that seem to be for
Pinnacle.
They are keys for things such as, Instant Copy, Instant Write, Instant
Music, CD Wizard, and the most telling an entry for 7.0 which was the version
of Pinnacle I had installed.
Should I delete these entries?
I also found and entry for, VSO, which I think is related to a program from
VSO, called Copy To DVD, which I also deleted from the system.
Could these entries be calling these drivers?
Is there any other place I should look?

You probably caused the error yourself by removing some files
from the System32 folder. You should now prevent the corresponding
services from starting in the first place. Click Start / Run / services.msc,
locate the problem services in the right half of the screen and disable
them.

Thank you I will try that.
I did not cause the problem, as I stated the error was evident even befor I
removed the drivers that should have been deleted with the program.
Can I remove the entries I listed, VOB, VSO, from the registry too?

I'm always very reluctant to remove entries from the
registry unless I know exactly what they are there for.
Contrary to popular belief (and contrary to the shrill
claims by registry cleaner makers), a bloated registry
does NOT slow down a PC, same as having lots of
files on a disk won't slow it down (unless they are all
in the current directory). In most cases old registry
keys are passive and play no role in the PC's operation.

Ram "services.msc" as suggested.
Here is every thing listed under services.
I do not see anything which would call these drivers.
Any other ideas?
I appreciate your help.

Look up its real name here:
HKILM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services,
by searching for VOB.

I did a search of these drivers in the registry and deleted all instances
found.
This eliminated the error.
