Event Log service not working Windows 2000 server

Greetings,

For some reason my event log service is not working. My
event log is totally blank. I look at it in "services"
and it tells me it is started but it does not allow to
stop or restart the service. Has anyone seen this
before? Is my event log service shot? Thanks in advance
for your help.

I figured it out. My application log and system log were
full at 512k. I flushed the logs and I could then see
the other logs. There must be a glith in windows

1.If you look at a full log-see nothing, and then look
at log that is not full you will still see nothing.

2. If you look at a log that is not full you will see
events. If you look a a full log and then go back to the
original log you will see nothing.
