Event ID error 4609

I'm having problems, every time i start this toshiba laptop the taskbar is
frozen, however if i restart the explorer process everything is fine. I
don't understand what's going on..

the only thing in the event log is event ID 4609

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal
processing. HRESULT was C0000005 from line 44 of
d:\qxp_slp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.



I've done virus scans, spyware scans, have all the current updates

ok so if i start up the computer not connected to the router it starts fine

I had same problem and drove me nutts all day.
Finally I disabled MSN 7.1 from running at startup and the error has
gone.
