Is there a way to disable this event being reported? I know WinMGMT is just
doing it job reporting it but I don't need to the reminder. The event is as
follows......

A provider, OffProv11, has been registered in the WMI namespace, Root
\MSAPPS11, to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and
the provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly
impersonate user requests.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Thnx for your help.

I do not believe that you can filter out single events.

The only thing I can find is to filter out warnings.

But I wouldn't do that myself.

Here's how anyway...

To filter events in an event log
1. Open Event Viewer.
2. In the console tree, select the log you want to filter.
3. On the View menu, click Filter.
4. On the Filter tab, specify the characteristics you want.

Warning
[[Specifies whether to display events that are not necessarily significant
but that may cause future problems, such as when disk space is low.]]

To turn off event filtering, on the View menu, click All Records.

Well it's sorta like sweeping it under the carpet but it'll do. Thanks
