Good morning,
I've been seeing 1311 & 1566 errors in Event Viewer. The errors are
intermittent and at first I ignored them, thinking that the wan link may
have gone down, but looking at the times the errors are occuring, that
couldn't be the reason. When I setup the two DCs (two physical locations), I
verified that the install was correct per KB 298143. Sites have been
properly created and the default site link contains both sites. I did have
one site set as the Preferred Bridgehead server, but removed that based on a
suggestion from "Troubleshooting Active Directory Replication Problems" from
the Active Directory Operations Guide. These errors cycle through about
every 3 to 6 days and last for 2 1/2 to 4 hours. They happen at different
times of the day. Both netdiag and dcdiag run clean on both DCs. The zones
for DNS are Active Directory Integrated zones, with Allow Dynamic Updates
set to yes. I believe I've heard that if you're having these errors, change
the zones to Standard Primary.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
