event id 1003 every 5 minutes, HELP !

ok, i'me really sick of this f***** event id.
every half an hour/hour our internet connections goes down because of these
event id's.

I'me running a proxy server with 2 network cards (1 LAN, and one for our
internet connection).

The internet connection goes via a cable modem.
We have a fixed IP, but the ISP dhcp server is checking if it is still
'alive' sometimes.
I cannot fill in the ip in the network card tcp/ip properties because the
ISP doesn't allow it, and I lose my ip that way :/

Things i've already done:

Switched both network cards (now it are 2 nettelligent cards).
Called the ISP several times, they say it's my software that is causing
these errors .....
checked cables, modem, everything SEEMS ok.
our dhcp server gives our proxy LAN card always the right ip adress
(192.168.0.1).

Software running on the proxyserver:
Proxyplus, trendmicro server protect, Vpop3.

Does anybody knows what could be the problem, i'me really getting crazy
because the internet/mail always disconnects :(

Geoffw,

No, it is not.

I noticed another thing:

When i go to CMD and I press: "net stop browser", I don't get any more dhcp
warnings! (at least not for now)
How is this possible? net stop browser is for my LAN (is it?), what does
this have to do with my internet network card?
The dhcp warning is certainly directing to the mac adress of the internet
card, and NOT to the LAN card.

anybody an idea?

Thomas
