Event ID 1000, logon script

I have a NT 4.0 Domain controller and win2k clients. We are creating some
simple logon scripts to map network drives, etc. The scripts seem to be
working fine except for one small problem: When a 2K machine logs into the
domain I get a popup window that says: "Windows did not load your roaming
profile and windows is attempting to load your local profile...." I checked
the event viewer and it just gives me the same message and Event ID 1000.
We are not using roaming profiles.

How do I fix this????

Thanks!

Check the user accounts on the PDC to make sure they are not configured for roaming
profiles. Also go to http://www.eventid.net/ where you can enter specific info for
the Event ID that may help out. --- Steve

Thanks for the reply.

As far as I can tell my users are not configured for roaming profiles. My
PDC is a NT4, can you help me out to verify if/how to set roaming profiles?
I am in the User manager but I am not seeing anything.

Thanks!

I don't have a NT4 box here, but look in the user account properties for a particular
user. There should be a page for "profile". The path for the profile should be blank,
otherwise it would indicate a roaming profile. You could also run net user usernmame
on the PDC. It should give info about the account including profile. --- Steve

Steve-

thanks for the help it did the trick. I pulled the profile path out and all
works well. I am not sure why I was putting that in there to begin with,
but again thanks for the help!
