errors

I have a compaq computer, I am having problems with shut
down and start up. I am recieving 2 error messages. the
first one is dll c:windows system 32 2ndsrch.dll the
second is mfc70.dll could not be found not a valid
windows image. I am using windows xp professional. any
help would be very appreciated. thank you.

2ndsrch.dll is used by adware programs. The file belongs to 2nd-thought.com.

mfc70.dll is used by programs written in Visual C++. Reinstalling the
program may reinstall the file. However, it seems likely that the program in
question is part of the adware you downloaded.

You'll want to try to uninstall the adware. There are many tools for this
available on the Internet. One very popular tool is Ad-aware, which you can
find here: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/.
